Increasing focus on people with disabilities in development strategies

20 September 2013 -- The more than 1 billion people living worldwide with disabilities all have the same general health needs as non-disabled people. The upcoming agreement at the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Meeting will further improve access to health care and related services for people with disabilities. This will help ensure that people with disabilities are able to contribute to the sustainable development of their communities.
